What do you create?

pillowcase dresses, baby slings, myriad of knitting projects

How long have you been creating?
I started knitting 4.5 years ago and have been sewing for 1 year.

Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Omaha, NE, Coffeyville, KS and Kaysville, UT.

Where do you currently live? Does it influence your creativity?
Logan, UT. There is a fantastic Gardener's Market here that I participate in. I love how much the people love one of a kind dresses for their girls.

What is the weirdest thing you ever created?
Besides my children?? Um, I tried to knit a cloth diaper liner for my son. It was very interesting and didn't work well at all :)

What is the one thing you are most proud of creating?
Again, besides my children??? ;) When I complete a pair of socks, that is a pretty great moment for me. They take a lot of time to knit and they feel SO good on my feet.

What was your best birthday and why?
My 30th, by far. My husband (and Lori's husband, Mike) made a pinata shaped like a ball of yarn. My husband got a hold of everyone who was coming to my party and asked them to bring some good yarn. he filled the pinata with 30 balls of yarn, for 30 years of life. It was fantastic!

Name your 5 favorite things about Utah:
I like the mountains in the spring, summer, and fall. I like going to Southern Utah and seeing the beauty down there. I love the vibrant downtown scene of Salt Lake. I love that my husband has a job here. I adore being close to my siblings and their families, and I love the friends I've made in the 4.5 years I've lived here.
